What Is It?

Intro

• I use flickr and when i got my iPod Video i felt that Photo Podcasting had been overlooked.
• After some googling and hunting on del.icio.us i couldn't find any easy way to do this with iTunes, iPhoto or some flickr hacks.
• I gave it a rest until i discovered that Kalli, a fellow iPod owner and flickr nerd, was interested in getting photo podcasting going.

The solution

• We created a workflow in Automator that, combined with iCal, becomes a photo podcasting client.
  • The workflow does not use the RSS feed, since there are no RSS options in Automator.

Name calling

• Since this is the web 2.0 era, catchy and (seemingly) meaningful names are important so i decided to call the workflow, Photocastr, that name is subject to change if a better one comes along.

Now what?.

• Maybe someone will find this usefull and perhaps someone can improve on the process and simplify it.
• So instead of keeping this to myself, i am putting it on this wiki, so go ahead, participate.
